I haven't fished with either guide you mentioned, nor have I fished with the service I'm attaching a link to. If I were to go get a guide on the Little Su though, it would be with Andy Couch, who's link this is. I've heard a lot of good things about him. Click on August for any of the previous years in this link, and you'll see limits are the norm, at least with this charter.

I do not have experience with either of the two you mentioned, but have been out with iFishAlaska several times. Pat and Howard (the owners and guides) are great to go out with. They work hard to make sure you have a good trip and get your fish. You can contact them at 907-357-0131 and their website is: http://www.ifishalaska.com/index.html
I recommed Andy Couch....all the way...just make sure you request him,he does have other guides working for him,and i'm sure there good, just not the experince that andy has....good luck....ps that time of year i'd hope that any guide on the river will be catching fish....
I worked for Greg Acord when he was big game guide in the Interior. He is a stand-up guy and an excellent outdoorsman. He's lived in the valley a long time and has been in the guiding industry for probably close to 20 years. He won't let you down. Check out the photos page.
Trophy catch charters is another one of the best on the Little su they have fished it for 20+ years also. Have to look up there number. Don't know if they have a working website.
Other than that the 3rd week of August does seem a little late.
I started getting the silvers there july 18 last year and the last trip I took was aug 6 that seemed like the main part of the run. The river was full of silvers on the 6th. I started moose hunting on the 10th so I didn't do anymore fishing.
Were still catching sea liced fish all the way into labor day weekend, the third week in aug is really nice,no boat traffic and plenty of fish....
troutfitters in cooper landing, or that outfit that does the 20mile river, 20 mile river is pretty good that time of year from everything I hear. Third week of august is time to head south.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
