    Talking hunting equipment rating

How would "YOU" rate your hunting equipment in order of importance. My personal rating as follows:
1-suitable clothing (lack of...you're done before you start)
2-quality binocs (can't find em, you can't shoot em)
3-monopod (without a steady rest, rifle and cal is moot)
4-rifle (in steady hands and solid rest, most any rifle will work)
5-backpack/with necessary gear and food(you won't miss it, if you have it)
6-knife(if the above doesn't matter, knife will be moot, unless it's to slash wrists by failing to heed the above.

    Wink

    1. optics, leica or swarovski 10x

    2. rifle, .30 cal or larger shooting heavy for caliber premium bullets, for a factory gun i like a pre-64 winchester or remington.

    3. clothing, mtn. technical fleece/synthetic clothes high warmth to weight ratio, windproof and breathable, pit zips, many pockets

    4. backpack, external frame barney's or internal frame kifaru with hydration system

    5. knife, plainedge drop point folder emerson or benchmade

    6. no monopod, shoot off your backpack or gun rest affixed to your tripod, sand sock if you do not mind the weight.

1 clothes/boots, i like to have boots on when i hunt...

    2. gun/hunting license.. can't kill stuff without it.

    3. optics, for obivous reasons.

    4. tent/sleeping bag...i don't like the rain or snow without those two.

    5. backpack...my hands get tired holding my sleeping bag all day.

    6. means to make fire...cold/wet/frozen are three things people aren't made to be.

thats about it, i'l survive if i have those things, food and water i can find in the woods.

Talking A realist's point of view!

I hate it when someone comes along and makes sense and humor all at the same time.

    Talking Player

But.......isn't the player the most important part of the game?

    Cool

Hey, you brought the game into the picture not me! grin!

From my perspective I think no matter what game we play, our attitude, reaction and action is definitely more important than those watching (fans) or even the game itself. But, then again I probably don't know squat!
