The way we train is the way we live.
There were two threads going that talked about the same problem. A hesitant dog and a concerned trainer. Take a look at the Ian Dunbar video at this site and watch the entire thing. It just confirms what I have trying to do with positive training, bringing the dog forward to a task, not pushing them to it. Being rewarded for it, not pressured into it.
Not to be holier than thou, I see exactly what he is saying about the way a person relates to his dog is the same as they relate to anything else in life. If I nag the dog I probably nag the humans too. Personally, eye opening and maybe life changing.
Itís long but I wished for more.
