Default Brown Bear Judging Class in Fairbanks?

I was just wondering if anyone knows of an upcoming brown bear class in the Fairbanks area? AND / OR does anyone have any good resources about judging brown bears?

I don't know anything about upcoming classes but I'd suggest looking at this link and read "Judging the size of Alaskan Brown Bears" by Dennis Harms; his article is about half-way down the page. Dennis uses a bears head length and counts how many 'head lengths' a bear has when broadside to determine size.

If you want more information on the topic, here is a link (with additional links) from the forums a few years ago. ADG&G also has some information posted here (read #13).
"He should have been packing a more powerful gun...you have to be a very good shot or very lucky to stop a brown bear with a .357 Magnum." - Rick Sinnott, Alaska Department of Fish and Game biologist after a double attack by a grizzly.
