    Default Ice Fishing

    I am in need of some great information on where to go ice fishing around anchorage to palmer. I am a beginner at this so any and all information will be great.

    try Finger lake if you don't have a hole digger just wait for some one to leave an ask if they mind you useing there hole or find some one fishing an ask them to help with a hole most people will help , on weekends you would have better luck [more people out there fishing fishing]

    Quite often in this weather you can find holes that arn't being used. I fished with just an ice pick for several years.

    Don't forget your fishing license and make sure and check the regs. Some lakes don't allow bait, treble hooks etc. Hate to see a new experience ruined with a ticket. Most of the local lakes will give you some action and should be plenty of holes that can be easily opened. I used to spud my own holes without a problem. Of course a lot younger then. And poorer.
