    Default Skilak Lake Question

This may sound stupid, but are you allowed to use a power auger to drill holes on Skilak Lake? I know you can snowmachine on it, and that its in the wildlife refuge, but are you allowed to use a power auger to drill holes on the lake?

    Thanks.

Went there on Saturday, it sucked! Fishing was slow, although our neighbors said they were catching some hogs. The worst part was walking back to the truck, it's only about a mile, but with the 30MPH wind in your face it makes for a long one. We caught a Rainbow, Dolly, and a Laker though. Three species in one day, all dinkers.

    Fish On!

Won't be going to that lake again without a four wheeler or snowmachine. That walk back with the wind in my face was horrible!

We did do pretty well Saturday! The Wind WAS CRAZY!! and man is that a long walk back to the truck! It doesn't look that far until your half way and looks still the same. 35 min walk one way in the wind
Thanks to the guys who picked us up on there snow machines, and drove us out to the mouth.
