    Default Boat Lengths & Age

Has anyone noticed how certain boats that have been for sale {at least a year +} seem to grow in length as they age?

For example: the Glacier Craft that was for sale all of last summer was listed as a 30'er & now it's listed on Cragis List {again} as a 31'er ....

I just looked at that ad. He must have put it in the boat stretcher. Funny stuff!

Any idea what the hourly rate for the boat stretcher goes these day; considering setting up an appt & having FOCU$ stretched a couple feet, maybe widened a tad also..

Bring it to Valdez. The harbor will charge you for every thing that extends from your boat. Maybe be added a trolling bracket or the anchor was sticking out on the front.

Kind of an inside joke. To understand it, you had to have endured the build process of a GC. Threads like this are part of our therapy, right Kidless?

YES on the therapy & perhaps even some rehab treatment!

    {endured the build process === that's a good one}

I could believe that it shrinks when on the water. PWS water is cold!

Having a boat built could cause a guy to drink .

No animals or small children were endangered in the making of the trip but we did put the hurt on some Fisherman's Refreshments .

Good news about the critters & kids! Not so sure about Mr Pete though, he looked a tad bit glassy eyed. Must have been some good times on the water..

Kidless, I hope Pete doesn't mind the picture , it was just one of those I should have deleted , ya know the deer in the head lights look thing.
Pete put us on Shrimp and Fish all week . We were like 5 seven year olds for a week , Capt Pete is one heck of a guy and knows what he is doing on the water. We only partied when we were on the hook .

By the way , that picture was taken after Pete went Bonsai getting us ready for dinner and drinks. Thanks again Pete and thanks to your Wife and Kids for letting you play with us for a week.

Please clarify: DINNER & DRINKS or DRINKS & DINNER

I'm sure there are lots of good pics of Mr Pete to share from the PWS?

I meant , he got the boat back in shape, gear stowed , ice chipped, lots of drinks then we ate then we had more drink. And no one fell of the boat , thank God for high gunwales.

IMG_1891_IPA.jpgAs long as it really is "MIller Time", at anchor all the work of fishing done nothing wrong with a little "Liquid Propulsion" (stole that one from Apllo Thirteen Tom Hanks, my gen), got to do it at the right time .... Oh yea boat length .... My Osprey 26, measured from front to back, not at water line ... including swim platform, ignoring the kicker and outdrive is right at 29'.Over all length (29) vs. waterline length (26).

Now Pacific23, I believe there might have been some tequila in that lemonade! Good thing I brought the little cups. That was a fantastic week on the water. I look forward to a re-Pete performance. Good times!
