Keith is a very well respected guide that over the years has given much to the guiding industry and the resources of this State. Honest, speaks his mind and pulls no punches. To evaluate the book as "good" would be a gross understatement.

The book is fantastic! Great accounts by a lot of great guides. I bought mine from him directly and had him sign it. Time to re-read it, again.

If you're in the Anchorage area consider stopping in at Full Curl Archery (on Old Seward just south of Huffman). Keith's daughter Joni is one of the owners of the shop, and there's some neat Keith Johnson memorabilia there (pictures, articles, etc.) as well as a grand slam he killed including a pretty cool Dall ram. They also have copies of Unpredictable Giants for sale... I believe they're signed by Keith, but can't be certain off the top of my head.

I sat in his living room for over an hour just listening to him, when I bought the book. We need him to put together another book!

Wow, my copy was in the PO Box today, already,.... That's pretty quick, eh?

It's a HUGE collection of stories, Way More than I imagined,
56 stories, all two or three (large size) pages long, Full of color pics of the highest quality,

a bit spendy, (course I had to get the limited edition,....) but I have a feeling I'll be reading these stories around the woodstove to the boys for a long time,...
man, I couldn't even get a first look at it without both of them "Hanging over my shoulders, Lookin' in"
"Mom, Dad got a New, Big Book on Bears....."

Thanks for mentioning this book, svehunter, and for the recommendations, Joe W, etc. What A Deal

Picked up a copy in Fairbanks, even got it for 30% off in a hard cover. Look forward to reading it, have read all my Russell Annabel books this winter.
