Do I give my friends advice? Jesus, no. They wouldn't take advice from me. Nobody should take advice from me. I haven't got a clue about anything..

again, what a disgrace to the guiding industry, and a blemish hopefully soon forgotten. i hope they hang im...here a hopeful tidbit though...as a packer some years ago i moose hunted in an area lepping had raped and pillaged for a bit...he'd gone for some reason or other leaving a wake of bull less camps and game less meadows...a young outfitter is now hunting this area and managing the amount of hunters he takes and the wolf population(heinous at the time i hunted the drainage) in the winter by trapping...doing the country some good and he's taking some ****ed nice bulls yearly for his efforts...the good hopefully stands out brighter than the bad,...hopefully

I think the "Alaska Wildlife Troopers" need a history lesson. Lepping is a choirboy compared to the Great Alaska Outlaws.

A Wasilla lodge owner convicted of guiding illegal hunting and fishing expeditions was sentenced Friday for what Alaska Wildlife Troopers called the worst pattern of violations ever committed in Alaska by a commercial guide.

Don't see anything about the use of dynamite, or large caliber guns attached to the wings in that article...

Lawbreaker, yes..."Worst pattern of violations ever"??

Well, I guess it sells papers.....

I agree with others...The New Breed of the AST have not studied the past. Or...they are wanting to Beat Their Chests for PR reasons. Whatever the case might be, this guy, the reporter, the ADN and the Troopers have all done us a wrong in this affair. Too much Deceit all the way around.

Bad guides are like bad hunters.I figure there are probably fifty hunters per guide with things like this.

I was at a wedding at his lodge last fall and heard about him possibly losing everything. If I had the cash, I'd buy the lodge. It's a beautiful property on a lake. Aside from him, I think he's a dirtbag and he's getting what he deserves.

He should have to forfeit his lodge. Why just the planes?
