    Default Fort Rich harvest Totals

    In case you want to know....
    A total of 40 moose were taken this year:

    8 muzzleloader (5 bulls and 1 cow during the fall season, 1 antlerless bull
    and one cow during the winter season).

    4 fall archery (all bulls)

    28 winter archery (2 bull calves, 2 antlerless bulls, 4 bulls still with
    antlers, 20 cows)

    What about the disabled vets hunts on base? I beleive that there were 30+ of those permits out there.

    Any stats on how that compares with previous years? Are these numbers fairly normal or were they higher/lower than average? Just curious how the trends may be running.

    Not sure on the vet hunts, I'm on the email list since I was drawn for this hunt and they send updates and openings

    The winter muzzle loader antlerless bull was actually one that had already dropped his antlers. He looked to be about a 3 or 4 year old.

    There were a total of 32 disabled vet permits, 6 muzzleloadeer and 26 archery.
