    Good price.

I talked to Gill abt a month ago. Suppose to be coming out with a brand new design early this yr. Longer lasting & other improvements.

Batteries plus has the Odyssey line in stock for pretty good prices. I'd never even consider buying an old school battery like a Gill.

Hi Mr. Pid, I looked at the odyssey site , which model would you use for a 180? and is it just a 337 to put it in? Thanks Tom

Mine's a PC625 mounted in a box on the firewall, field approved. I'm pretty sure Burl's or Atlee's has a box and STC to do the same using the SBSJ battery. That battery is PMA'd for Supercubs and is what gets put under a Cub pilot's seat with Atlee's or Dan's tray STC. If you get rid of a 180/185's rear battery and replace it with an Odyssey on the firewall your plane will lose 16-17#.

Pid...I'm having trouble comparing these two per their output/capacities:

    PC 625 Specs:

    • YB16-CLB replacement
    • 625 cranking amps for 5 seconds
    • 545 cranking amps for 10 seconds
    • 480 cranking amps for 20 seconds
    • Short circuit current over 1800A
    • 27 minute reserve capacity with 25amp load
    • Length 6.7"
    • Width 3.90"
    • Height 6.89"
    • Weight 13.2 lbs

    OR

    Gill 35:

    • 12
    • Type: Dry
    • Weight: 27
    • 1 hr (C1) 23
      30 min (2C) 40
      60 sec/0 deg F (CCA) 250
    • Electrolyte: 3 Qts./1.285 s.g.
