Thread: After a re-power?

    Question After a re-power?

Is it acceptable to replace, or reset the hour meter? What would you do?

Yes, as far as I know the hour meter is related to the motor, not the boat.

Definitely reset the hours to "None Yet"

It's all about the engine hours, not the hull age
Hour meter is primarily for your maintenance records and attention

If ever offering it up for sale, the buyers will look for Low Engine hours, especially on an older Hull

Hour meter is part of the engine operation. Just replace it.

Yep, you just gotta replace it. They're cheap compared to that new motor, im sure.

I donít know if you reverse the battery connection would work. There may be a diode stopping it from working. If so you could short the diode.
