I was talking to a guy who had a buddy who lives out in the bush. He mentioned they trade wolf pads, scent glands in there, with other trappers in other valleys out there in the bush. Helps bring in more wolves, they check out the scent and make sure other packs aren't moving in.

I suppose it would work for fox and coyote too. Just with all this wolf talk and other predator talk, never seen this mentioned here.

Ever hear of this, do you trade with buddies in the valley if you killed a wolf in Kenai? Or trade anal glands? Dogs love to sniff each other, suppose fox and wild dogs would too?
