    Not really big news as Ayakulik and Karluk have seen hard times for many years now.

    Here's the latest proposals on what should be done next.

    Seiners will have to adapt their methods to the changing times. If they really want to make this proposal work for meaningful chinook conservation, they're gonna have to abandon the customary process of brailing the entire set into one giant compacted CRUSHING load.

    Requiring "half-pursed" sets to keep the fish free-swimming during the sorting process is the only way this is going to work.
