Default I'm wanting to move to AK, need help

I live in Washington and been a dream for some time to move north. Now is a good time as any. I build boats and figure there should be jobs for that up there, anyone know of anyone hiring. Any other input would be great

Are there boat companies in AK? I would think maintenance and repair is the better way to go.

Comparing us to Washington is quite the slap in the face, Will.

    That's Probably ......... Ketchikan....

They have a shipyard there, rivaling the best I hear,
A ship lift that can dry up large vessels like Alaska Ferries, etc.
Serious Fishing Industry town, may be some jobs for Shipwright types

Kinda Soggy there, but if you like the smell of Cedar, that's the town for you

It's true, there aren't too many "building" as much as repairing in the Marine Industry up here,
Tho I think there may be some in Anchorage building smaller vessels

Kodiak is a repair town, not too many jobs there I don't think. We just spent mass money on a Large Vessel lift here but it will be a while before it is an industry in my opinion
Maybe Seward, pretty serious shipyard there.

To live permanently her in Alaska is a very brave thing as most of the people here are poor and mainly attached to the to hunt fishes for thier living and when they have enough money to finance their home in other state of US. they move and never come back to Ak.
