How it goes sometimes...been in D-9 several times when it was right off the boat launch (shallow water) and killed 'em and sometimes I didn't even see a fish. This time of year Quartz becomes REAL SLOW due to the cold and O-2 level IMO. You still may land them over 20" but typically the action slows down quite a bit. Being mobile helps sometimes but like I said somedays are just plain bad. Maybe jigging deeper waters for char will be more successful? I may head out there this weekend...Keep Trying!!!

How was the wind? Went out this past Monday and had to use the truck to help block the pop up from the onslaught . It does seem like the State shantys are out farther/deeper this year from the boat launch.
