    Default Lost Lake

In case anyone was wondering... the Lost Lake trail on the Seward side is pretty iced up right now... polished, actually. Some guys with studded tracks made it up the switchback this afternoon but a few others had some difficulties. Its do-able, but only for experienced riders right now. If you're hauling down for the weekend, you may wanna try Carter/Crescent, Snug Harbor, or Primrose first.

Also, Snow River has lots of overflow and the water crossings are deeper than usual... a hover-craft would be ideal!

Went up Primrose this morning. There is one icy section that you need to get a running start and have friends two-thirds the way up the hill to catch you and put a rope on your ski to pull you the rest of the way up. That hill is not too far up the trail from the parking lot. Once you get up that part the rest of the way is pretty easy.

x2 on the icy spot, we had to help each other up through the one spot from primrose the other day also, and was fine like you said after that...

here's a lil vid i put together from the other day on the helmet cam from out there, the snow was pretty much go anywhere snow, hard to get stuck in...

I wouldn't bother with going to Lost Lake, I rode there last Friday with a friend and it wasn't very good. We went up Firehouse trail and that first sharp curve was iced up pretty bad. We had to rope 6 sleds up it but once we got past that spot the rest of the trail was ok. Can't imagine it being any good now snice so many more people have ridden up there since then. We need more snow.
