    Default Kel-Tec Bear Medicine

I am not particaularly a Kel-Tec fan or 12Ga for bear defense, but a 12 Gauge bullpup with 14+1 and ability to select which load (dual mags) is a very interesting concept!!

I gotta readily admit I've never been a fan of Kel Tec or any of their products...I believe I will be interested in checking one of these out. The short OAL is a real attraction for bush whacking.

Loads of good pictures (Oleg Volk) over on the KTOG site. Rumours (also on KTOG) that they will be stepping down production of their pocket pistols (market swamped) in favor of getting this beast on the shelves.

    Reality Sets In.

I agree it has appeal, as in, IT LOOKs BAADD.

BUT, don't you guys think this contraption, would be VERY UNPLEASANT to shoot?

Especially, indoors, without ear protection, when you're attempting to de-burgularize your home.

"Hey, Mister Burg-Lur, This is gonna hurt ME more than it hurts YOU."

It might be cheaper to be burgled, than to repair all the broken windows, vases, fine china, light fixures etc. damaged by the concussion.

Then, there are the bills for Dr. Visits in vain attempts to repair ear damage, for the whole family.

On the other hand, this firearm might be useful for ground-sluicing Ducks and Gooses. ??

    Gun Nuts, are plumb "NUTS".

Smitty, why do you think this will hurt the ears any more than my 18" Rem 870? Same barrel length. Don't know how much it weighs, but I'd guess it's not less than 6lbs.

Just checked the link in the first post, the shotgun is 6.9 lbs, don't know if that's loaded or not.

I confess that while I don't own a bullpup anything I really like how they look and handle.

Ear protection would be the least of my concerns the moment I had an intruder/burgular in my house. I doubt it would even cross my mind in a dangerous situation like that.
