    Default freight sleds

    Howdy all...

I'm looking for a small to medium sized tow-behind freight sled, Otter type or equivalent... something that could handle steep grades and water
crossings. Does anyone know of any shops in Anchorage that have these? I thought I saw a cheap-o Otter type a few years ago in Fred Meyers.

    Thanks and Happy New Year!

Trustworthy in Soldotna has the Husky Hauler. I think they are about $160 with a solid tow hitch.
Even though I hate to say it Walmart in Kenai had a good selection of the otter sleds in 4 or 5 different sizes. They are usually more expensive than Trustworthy though. I didn't look at the prices as I don't need another one at this time.

I've got an Otter and a homemade I'd make you a deal on either one. Doubt I've used either in the last two years. If your passing through Sterling give me a shout 252-8366 Jeremy.

Sportsman's Warehouse carries the Otter sled in Anchorage. They also carry the hitches, covers and wear strips. I've got one of the bigger ones and it has held up well for the price, but I only have a couple hundred miles on it.
