    Default How about this PIG!

Not. But it is my first bow kill (not counting the armadillo I shot when I was 12). If you look really close you can even see some little white things poking out of the top of his head. I thought I was shooting a doe.

    Well done Troutbum!
I started bowhunting at age 15 and have loved every frustrating minute of it!!!
I missed a long shot ( 38yds) on a doe 2 weeks ago and I didn't take one thing into consideration, it was snowing very heavy wet flakes - arrow dropped under her and I couldn't figure out what happened until I thought it thru later.
I seldom shoot anything over 25 yards and 95% have been 20 or less - so not a habit I rec!
Hopefully you will have many more "trophies" to pose with!

Thanks Dwight. Actually that was with a borrowed bow. They changed the season dates down there and as it turned out it only allowed me 2 days of hunting, so I decided not to spend the money to bring my bow as extra luggage. I didn't think that 2 days would be enough to allow me an opportunity. Now I wish I would have just spent the extra $, I think it would have been nice to take him with my own gear.

Congrats on the 1st, I can remember my first deer back in 1988 in the Capitol Forest, Washington like it was yesterday. Definitaly the most rewarding way to hunt. Great Job.
