Default Last Cast... Quartz Lake 2010 Report

Alcanron and I went for the final day of 2010 and did the vertical smack down on the fish at Quartz Lake.

We found a few fish, cookie cutter rainbows and land lock salmon most of the day. Persistance during the morning wind gusts of over 30 mph, and keeping faith in the location we chose let us both manage a couple fish worth a measure on a stick.

Alcanron caught a very healthy one close to 19 inches and I ended up with a fatty of rainbow right at about 24 inches give of take a frog hair.

Thanks Alcanron for keeping me calm during the storm of the battle with the hog...my heart was in my throat. What a way to end 2010!

    Smile Great Day!

Despite the huricane force winds at times and thinking the Quick Fish was going to fly away. It was a great day! The funny thing was, not even five minutes prior to him catching this fish he was just talking about how these fish just appear from knowhere. Must have used that Jedi mind trick on that one

The funny thing was it was actually windy.LOL! Was quite the chore setting up the hut. If I had some rope I could have flown it like a box kite!

That actually happened to me Ron! I held on to that rope for dear life... The hut was completely off the ice man.. lol. The wind finally gave way and I jumped to break it down fast. It was not fun.. lol
