    Default 2011 Fuel Prices

I just talked with Crowely fuel in Valdez and the current fuel prices for commerical boat fuel are: diesel $3.64 Gas $3.90 home heating fuel $3.55 my guess for recreational fuel you would add 5 cents per gallon We talked about the up coming summer prices and if things keep going up prices may be in the $5 per gallon range.

I love high fuel. My favorite fishing spots are much less crowded.

Gas was about $3.83 per gallon in Whittier last season and I have seen it as high as $5.05 back 2 or 3 seasons ago. I guess you have to pay to play, right?

Yea.........gotta pay to play. But would rather pay $3 a gallon instead of $5!

Thank all the people who voted back Lisa the cry baby, because she has done nothing to keep us from getting gouged for fuel when the supplies sit in our back yard and our gas tax is non existent. Thanks to her we pay the second highest gas prices in the USA. Only Hawaii pays more.

Sorry, but just had to vent.

You guys need to get into that commercial shrimp fishery in PWS . When you go out w/ the family in the summer you could throw out a pot for "prospecting" purposes and write off the whole trip. Just think of the loss you could show on your shrimping business by the end of the boating season

Or you could buy a 2,000 gallon fuel tank, and filler up, Now while it is cheap. It will be over $10.00 per gallon here with-in five years. We are going to re-live the 1970's with 18% to 22% Inflation, and 15% Unemployment.

Snowwolfe,, I can't resist ""although it most likely does NOT have anything to do w/ 2011 fuel prices or a proper place w/in the AK pwr boating thread ”” but have to comment on your recent blur about Rep US Sen L Murkowski””. It would appear that the cry baby your referring to is J. Miller since he just can't take "NO" for an answer!!

If I read into your response correctly, which I think I have; I'm curious as to what & why you think J. Miller could have made a difference in our {at the pump fuel prices}; please provide us all a bit of feedback..

Not saying Joe Miller could of done any better so dont put words into my mouth. Just saying that Lisa failed to do her job yet people didnt seem to care and voted her back into office knowing she was useless when it came to controlling our fuel prices.
