MORE MAYORS DROP OUT OF BLOOMBERG COALITION . . . The mayors of Anchorage, Alaska, and Rio Rancho, N.M., have dropped out of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's "Mayors Against Illegal Guns." Sensing a "different agenda" of the coalition, Anchorage mayor Mark Begich, in a letter to the Anchorage Daily News, wrote, "I am concerned the coalition is working on issues that conflict with the beliefs we share in Alaska about legal gun ownership, and I'm also concerned gun ownership advocates are not part of the full discussion within the coalition."
It's almost like a participatory democracy. The people express their displeasure, and the leader reacts. How quaint.
