Default KISA Indoor Range Closure - Renovations

The KISA Indoor Range at Manoshka Bay will be undergoing complete renovations starting Jan 10 2011. The range will be closed for 2 weeks.
The renovations include removal of old and installation of a new state-of-the art target system; computer controlled 360 degree turning targets, range settings at 1' increments, programmable exposure times and approch/retreating exposures and a left/right moving target system.
It will be worth the wait, if you are a KISA member, please pass the word of this closure.

Is Anchorage the only place in Alaska without an indoor, public range?

Yes. I remember when they did have a range, it was a blast to go there during the winter and blow $50 with the wife shooting those rampaging big-toothed targets. Took many nieces and nephews there for .22 fun too.
