    Default Lynx mount is done

Here is a picture of my lynx I got last winter. Wellers Wildlife Studio did it for me and I think they did a great job.

    Hi Shane,
Was just wondering what it cost to get something like that done? I just caught a lynx yesterday, and was trying to figure out what to do with it.
    Thanks
    Jeff

Thanks Vince. Now I feel real stupid. I guess I should read a little more slowly.

Yes, Wellers did the work hahaha and I don't think it could be any better (this picture doesnt do it justice). The price was $2080. Yes this is allot of money but I actualy called in and shot this lynx and this trophy realy meens allot to me (not to take away from a traped animal its just a personal thing). The other thing is I will never do it again and after seeing many bad cat mounts I decided to spend the money and know I would be getting a good product (if you checkout Wellers website you'll see some other great work). Also the service was excilent and turnaround time was about 9 or 10 months which I thought was quite fast.

Superb Mount. But I can't imagine keeping it clean in my place. I would have to put it in a glass case.

Honestly thats a concern of mine as well. My plan is to try and keep it clean with air and if I find thats not working I will probably have a glass case built for it.

That is one impressive Lynx!! I am finding that picking a taxidermist is second only to picking a plastic surgeon when it comes to finding an artist to create your dream!
