Thread: How about this guy?

    Default How about this guy?

I know there are a couple threads like this going on but I don't want to hijack someone's thread. So what do you folks think of this guy? I saw him today and snapped a few phots. The light was poor and the camera is far from National Geographic quality but give it a shot...

Sorry, I have never been able to upload a photo here since the makover earlier this year.

He's not legal in a SF50 area but I still bet he wouldn't last the season if he lived in the mat-su valley...

Thanks for your Christmas wishes sent here to the valley. :-( Though I might be stretching things a bit, I'm guessing those are the best wishes we'll get from ya this year. ;-)

I would let him walk in SP50" zone, darn near 50" though.

Yeah, that's a Kosher moose right there. Should take 'im for Hannukah or something. You know, like potlach.

Looks like he'd go around 1200lbs or so, likely butcher out to #450 once he's cut and wrapped.

You guys are nuts. There is no way he is 50".

I always get a kick out of these. I am still waiting for someone to say he is over 60! I would put him around 47 to 49 being generous. I would not risk this guy. He has some really long tines but I am quite sure he is not legal. But next year....I bet he tips the legal spread by a couple inches.

Yikes....some folks must be less conservative in their measurement estimations because I sure would not touch a shot off at this guy, at least not before throwing a tape on his horns. Maybe that is why I have an empty freezer...

I got a good look at this bull in the field with Littleman. He is close but not 50. There should be Hesitation when you see a moose this size. And I bet alot of hunters got a look at him this season. He made it cause he aint legal.
