Nice! I'm assuming by the lack of a head on the bird, he made a nice head shot!

Default Trip in Oct. close to Eureka. Was a great trip with some of the family.

Was using a Marlin .22 for the Snowshoe Hares and a 870 Rem. 12 gauge pump for Ptar.

I took the shot, the gun just belongs to a buddy of mine, now. I hit him on the wing, and had chopped off his head and was just about to pull his breasts out when I figured I should get a pic. It was a fun day of hiking aorund AK, this bird just popped out at the wrong time.

My Adak Ptarmigan hunt. After getting to Adak a few days after the Caribou herd headed south we rented this Polaris Ranger and slaughtered some birds. Goods times!

A few birds a friend and I took while skiing last year.

My nephew's first grouse from this fall.

One of over a hundred I saw while bear hunting last April. They were paired up and ready for mating season, and they were everywhere!

This is mine from September. 25 yard shot with a 3.5" .22, buddy and I were dumbfounded I hit him. The .22 is a Heritage Rough Rider with fixed sights and is notorious for shooting high. I aimed at his feet and hit him in the neck.

Cool shot of the birds. What were you thinking with the placement of your shotguns?

It was a Learning Channel shoot and the photographers made it look worse than it actually was. Those are wax stunt doubles on the wrong end of the shotgun barrels.
