    Default Pickled/smoked ling cod?

    Anyone have any exp. smoking or pickling these dragons? Thanks and happy hollidays

    Not ling, but pickled black cod is amazing.

    Like mallardman said, blackcod would work awesome for this. Ling is way too mushy. I can't even eat it cooked normally. Maybe I've had bad lings but they're way too watery for my liking.

    pickled ling cod would be wonderful. I would keep it in the fridge (should keep in the pickle brine for a month or more) but not can it. That type of pressure cooking could make it mushy.

    I can dig up my recipe that I use for grayling, whitefish or Salmon that should work well with your ling cod if you want.
