    Default Kenai Peninsula Ice Thickness

I used the search function but could not find a current thread. Can anyone down here on the Kenai let me know ice thickness on any lakes you've been too lately?

    Default Ice thickness near Kenai_Soldotna

Last weekend, the ice was between 6" and 8" thick. It was at least 5" thick 3 weeks ago believe it or not. Plenty strong in my opinion. Of course it's different everywhere depending on water flow, etc.

Went out on Island Lake (Nikiski) on Saturday (12/18) and cut about 14" of ice before hitting water.
