Thread: Flat Islands

    Default Flat Islands

Saw an ad for a boat on CL. Said they'd been out to Flat Islands several times. I'm thinking this is upper Cook inlet but can't find them on raster charts. Where are they?

Thanks, guys. Guessing there's decent fishing in the area...or maybe he was just suggesting the boat's range.

It's right on the corner where Kachemak Bay meets Cook Inlet meets the Gulf of Alaska...big convergence area combined with big tides and waves from multiple angles can make for some rough rides. Probably was referencing seaworthiness more than range since Flat Island isn't that far out, really.

Just for testimony of seaworthiness. Certainly no fish in that area.

Yeah, there are obviously no fish in that area. Go there on a nice day and you'll be amongst 30 other boats sitting there on anchor just sunning themselves. LOL!
