Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it's abnormal. And I'm pretty sure it isn't a trophy :-)

Yeah forgot to mention that this particular lake hasn't been stocked with King Salmon, which is the only reason I asked. I suppose it's possible to have stocked king salmon in a lake when F&G has documented that only coho salmon have been stocked? Is it possible for F&G to accidently stock King Salmon in a lake instead of COHO Salmon? I've sent PM to the designated "ask a trooper," but he/she hasn't responded. I sent the PM 3 days ago, which is why I thought I would ask all of you, I figured it was a King as well..

    A land-locked king is only a commoner.

It's not a king. The gums are white. Looks like a cross between a coho and a lake trout.... but just my uneducated guess.

Found an identification chart that doesn't seem to help... http://www.dundeesportsmansclub.com/...tification.htm

Just a thought dId ADF&G get a handful of fish in the wrong tank? Maybe they did not intend to stock kings but had some on the truck bound for elsewhere and some one goofed and let a few kings go by mistake?
I once caught a Kokanee in Johnson lake in Kasilof back in like 96. I heard it did not have Kokanees but later found out they used to stock it and I had probably caught a stragler from the times it was stocked.

Immature silver I think? The spots look a little big like that of a king but noticed no spots on the tail, which kings have. Or don't they have spots there when that small? The mystery deepens...

Tried to enlarge it, it appears to have spots on the tail.

It's not a pink, ADF&G does not stock pinks. It definitely has spots on both lobes of the tail. If you catch another one, make sure to take a picture of the anal fin next time. That will make identification much easier. For now, I would say king. To answer the other question, yes fish do jump across the raceways at the hatchery and become mixed. It's rare, but it does happen.
