What is the definition of "closely attended" in sport fishing?
What is the definition of closely attended?
5 AAC 75.020 provides a definition of sport fishing methods and means as:
"Unless otherwise provided in the regulations, sport fishing may be conducted only by use of a single line attached to not more than one plug, spoon, spinner, or series of spinners, or 2 flies, or 2 hooks. The line must be closely attended."
My question: with respect to the above definition, what does "closely attended" mean?
The term closely attended is defined under 5 AAC 75.995 (40). It is defined as “The line or strike indicator is within view of and is accessible to the angler at all times”.
Thanks for the question.
