Is it drivable yet? Only had so much cold weather lately.

Most fish huts set up on the west side of Burnt Point (the northshore peninsula that creates the 'chokepoint' in the middle of the lake).
The 'main' road runs right around it.

Have a cabin on the lake and can't wait to get out there. Be sure to post if the road is open.

Burnt point is the point on the north side where the lake narrows right below the compass on this map. The point is private property and it will be quite a walk from any public access....

AKMUD is correct in the fact that foot access is limited in this area. Private property via land.

However in the winter everyone can use the ice road to access the lake at and around Burnt Point.

edit: added ice road that leaves from Northshore State Park. After the ice settles it will be a huge plowed highway that runs the length of the lake. Enjoy it. Burnt Point is a great place to fish.

Not sure. My cabin neighbor isn't answering his phone. Probably drive out this weekend and check it out.

O and if you can't drive out there yet many people fish between the island and south port.
