    Default Caribou hunt Questions

What is the caribou hunting out of kotz like now? From an overcrowding point of veiw? Are transporters bringing in too many hunters? And is this ruining the hunt?

Although, my hunting experiences have been great up there. Most of the flight operators know each other and will (from my experience) take every measure not to drop you on or near someone else's location. I've hunted both times in August where the crowds were not at their peak.

Neither time have I ever seen a hunter from the ground...

The Mulchatna herd is still the popular herd. Kotz is starting to get more people up there. Llike Hunter tom said the Air service work together. When I was up there I walked 4 miles up a moutain and spoted another group several miles away using my spotting scope. If I was to do another fly out I would go back to Kotz in a heart beat.

I would do it again also, lots of game, just hope weather is right on arrival and departure date. Check out my last years story below, lots of good information on what we encountered.
