    Default Load data 375 H&H

I am looking for some load data for a 260 gr partition over RL 15. All of my load books don't have any info for that combo,
    Thanks,
    Matt

    375 H&H-- 260 gr. partition or ballistic tip/accubond using Reloader 15

    Nosler 5th edition reads:

69 grains as starting load for 2648 fps out of a 24" barrel.

73 grains max for 2793 fps.

I am planning on using Re 15 with the 260 Accubond and 250 Sierra.

    good luck

I have loaded the 260 partition with 72.0 grains of RL-15 for 20 years and it is a very good load. I have only one 375 h&h now but some I've owned found that load warm. Maybe 70.0 grains for about 2700 fps would be more practical. The extra fifty fps won't help anything.
Is there nothing so sacred on this earth that you aren't willing to kill or die for?

I run 73.0 grains of RL-15 in W-W cases with the same bullet--more recently the 260 AB--and have found it a very good load though I only get about 2725 fps (22" tube). I've not nearly the experience that you have Murphy, but I think I'm within Nosler's recommendation--better double check I'm not off the deep end.

Iv'e been running 71 gr. R15 with Fed 210 match behind 260 Noslers for years, it shoots great in my M70. According to my Chrony getting a pinch over 2600 fps.

    1Cor15:19,

You're in the ball park. The only 375H&H that I've loaded for is a friends Rem 700 XCR with a 24" barrel. I chronographed all of those loads and settled on 72.5gr of RL-15 with 270TSX's. Measured velocity with that load was 2666fps.

Interesting thing about the above is the #4 Barnes manual claims 77gr at 2820fps is Max on page 344, must be a miss print. I ran into problems at 74.5gr and gave them a call. They stubbornly stand by their data but no other publication gets anywhere near that charge.

Nice to see Murphy tuning in again.

I haven't loaded the 260NP for about ten years, but when I did my best group was at 71grns of RL-15, 1.5" five shot group @100.

(...it's good to hear your voice again Professor Murphy. I hope you are well, my friend)
