    Smile Quartz Lake Report 11/27/2010

Myself and 3 three other forum members decided to brave the 90 miles from North Pole to Quartz Lake today. The fishing today was marginal at best but we managed to get a few nice ones. There was a thin crust on top of some overflow but I am sure with the colder temps in the forcast that will take care of that. There where a few folks who made the ice groan as they drove their trucks across the middle of the lake. The ice was about 8-10 inches at my best guess. Hopefully next time it will be better.

I hope to get my revenge tomarrow. I am going against my instinct and the weather report for high wind. I am going to fish some of the deeper water and try to get a char. I am going solo so the pics will be hard to get.
