    Default Petersville snow conditions?

Anyone have a snow update for the Petersville area? It's been raining pretty hard here in the valley, is it snowing up there?

Check www.kennycreeklodge.com. The Kenny Creek Lodge reports 6 inches from yesterday the 22nd, and still snowing this morning. He usually updates conditions every morning. The Alaska National Weather Service is calling from 3"-6" tonight, 1"-3" for Wednesday, and 3" Wednesday night, and snow likely Turkey Day. Should be awesome.

Hey I wouldn't it be cool if they designated a section of Petersville to X-country ski only? Why hasn't anyone thought of this?

Saturday the riding was good. Petersville road sucks, as usual, but past Forks Roadhouse and up in the hills we had 3-1/2 to 4 feet of snow, the top 2 feet was good powder. We found lots of untracked fields, despite the hordes of people out there. It's worth beating yourself to death on the road to get there, the snow was far better there than in the swamps.

Most doggers were out on the river, But anyway, Never been riding at Pville, Doesnt seem like id want to deal with the hordes. Heard of real bad crowds. Buying a new sled this weekend and might check it out then, But turnagains more like it.

I'm always able to get away from people in Petersville, it's really never been an issue for me at least. But then I'm never found on the trails either.

I normally just ride the rivers, up to puntilla or shell lake. My dad calls Pville "Pillgrims ville" Just cuz he doesnt like the crowds, Just guess they arent for his kinda riding style..
