Default Using electronic caller for big game?

Looking through regs can't find restictions on this. Is this legal and or has anyone tried using foxpro on big game?

No-go on moose. But legal beagle on bears. I also think you can use it on elk and deer but don't know for sure. Same thing with sheep and goats but I think they would just think you were an idiot...

I had great success in calling a black bear last spring. We set up in a creekbed, saw her coming down from the ridge to the valley floor. we lost her and decided to get aggressive and move in closer. Placed the caller on the floor below the ridge and climbed up about 60ft over looking the caller. Was a perfect setup and wind was 0. we heard her come in slow right to left below us. could not have been sweeter...easy shot for a my buddies son at 20 yards. Great experience and cant wait to try it again this spring. We used the Foxpro with the distressed jackrabbit call.

Good luck..as others have told me prior to doing this...expect them to come in hungry and often aggressive.

And God said, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

It is on page 18 of the big game hunting regs, on the right side. Look just under the "pit fires" section.

You beat me to it! Too bad we can't delete duplicates!

Page 18, right hand column! "Electronic calls may be used for all game animals except moose"
