Good job there and a nice mess 'o fish! What part of the state are you fishing already? Ice is pretty sketchy here in the Wasilla area.

Nicely done there mister! We're not gonna come fishing at your honeyhole, but for our logbooks could we get some 411 please?

There's not much ice to be honest.... checked the lake last night and there was not even 2" of ice. It's blowing a pretty warm wind right now, I think you'd be wise to wait...

Global warming/la Nina/el Nino or whatever sucks for ice fishermen!
Now we have rain on what little ice we had going. I can remember fishing in early November not that many years ago. I'm ready to do an ice dance if it doesn't change soon.

Its hovering at 32f at my house right now, no way I would consider going out on Biglake or any other large lakes atm.

Ice thickness varies greatly lake by lake. Case in point: Kepler Bradley lakes both frozen solid, Echo Lake on the other side of the Glenn totally open a couple weeks ago. Fish small lakes, remember that after Pitman there's usually a 10-20 degree difference from Wasilla. So if its 32 in Wasilla, its often 22 or less from Pitman north. Today's temp is 0 in Willow. So be careful, use your noggin, and go catch some fish!

That's my kick off as well. I love early ice because its the only time my hand auger sees the light of day!
