    Default Fire Lapping

What exactly is fire lapping and why would you do it to a barrel? What are the advantages of fire lapping a barrel?

I actually used this system on my 308 and 204. Both of those rifles are incredibly accurate. I can't say that the product is responsible for the accuracy but their bores are very smooth, shiny and free of copper fouling after 20 shot strings.

I have since used the product on my 375 and it too is very accurate. I would like to think that my reloads have something to do with the groups but the Tubbs system diffidently smoothed the bore.
