George, I would have loved to come but didn't have enough notice.

If you could give a bit more of a head's up, I sure would appreciate it!

    Phish Finder,

We will be meeting every Sat. unless something pops up to keep us from meeting. Usually we don't meet on holidays. My wife is a teacher so I will be not meeting during Christmas break. I will try to announce when we do not have a get together or if I will be meeting in Eagle River. Hope this helps.

    Thanks George!
Eagle River wouldn't be a bad option either

I'd like to make it over and learn from ya. A few friends picked up some tricks from you over the years.

If anyone starts doing this down Kenai way & would put up with a rookie tier, I would love to be involved!

This Saturday I will be working on dubbing. I will be making some extended bodies for Mayfly patterns and will show what I know about different styles of dubbing. Hope to see you there.

9ish to 11ish at 3 Rivers Fly and Tackle.

Doughnuts are always appreciated, but even without, the coffee will be on and tyers get a 10% materials discount at the store.

Wish I didn't have to work! I'd like to see some extended body stuff tied and try my hand at it. Hope to make it one of these days.

    George,
It was nice to meet you the other day. I can barely keep my one year old from breaking stuff in three rivers when I'm just there buying materials. I can't imagine he'd do very well at a tying get together, and the six year old would never let me take a turn at the vise. I'll try and make it sometime when I have another Saturday off after my wife gets back in town.

Kid started when he was four, wish I would have kept my extra vise.Click image for larger version.

Yukla, If you wish we can have some tying tools that we use to teach. Also materials might be scrounged to get you tying. What basket ball season ends in Dec?

Scott, it was very nice to meet you and I got a kick out of you with your boys, very nice to see you hanging with them. Look forward to seeing you when you can make it. Family is most definatly priority and should be kept that way. Keep on,

    George

I happen to know that there are at least two vices in your home at this very moment (unless Muzzy carry's his around with him, which I wouldn't doubt.)

Grab one of those vices and I have extra tools.... OR make us all jealous like George did on Saturday: http://www.nor-vise.com/nor-vise-product.html

I like my nor-vise a lot, sometimes its hard to watch an online tutorial and the try and duplicate it with a rotating vise, makes somethings much easier than with a stationary vise though.

Sorry I took so long to post a report on last Saturday, no excuse. We worked on dubbing, mostly dubbing extended body mayflies. I didn't care for the dubbed extended body, just not tought enough.

I started making extended bodies out of Bucktail and it makes a tougher body/tail and it is easier using a tool that would work for any vise.

I should do a video for this sights arcives.

We will be meeting this Sat. and was wondering what patterns you all would like to see?

    George
