    Default Quality Taxidermits in Anchorage

Can anyone recomend a quality sheep taxidermits, and have pictures to show for their work? I'm having a really hard time finding anyone that I would consider giving animals to.

I would suggest going out to Palmer...Woodland Taxidermy Studio, owner/operator Larry McMurphy... Award winning sheep taxidermist Robert/Bob Householder works there and does the sheep......907 745-1134

I highly recommend Mike Frazier (Fur and Feather Taxidermy) off Huffman. He charges about $750 for a sheep shoulder mount and does great work. He also has several sheep in his studio to look at.

I have been impressed with Bob Mardis at Action Anatomy in Eagle River, give him a call at 360-6218. He did my sheep, moose and is working on my second caribou with him.

Recomdations are one thing. Pictures speak for themselves.

Fixed it for you, Dennis. I think that is who you mean.

Joe Romero here in Anchorage is the best sheep artist I have seen.

Second that. I have goat, bear and caribou pictures of work he has done but currently no sheep. He's finishing one now so I can ask for pictures or you can give him a call and stop by to see it yourself 696-3611

Since nothing negative can be posted about a business, let me just say that if you are even THINKING about going here to PM me and I'll send you pics of results that I got from Clint...and "outstanding" is NOT the word that comes to mind...

I thought it was an incredible mount of a new species of musk ox. I think it was officially named the artic-arctos "wildebeesty"??? Please correct me if I am wrong Alaskan.

I would think that it would have been "rare"...but the company that will not be named (but if you scroll down you can see which post this started at) did two ox at the same time....and mine actually looks "AWESOME" compared to the other one....which is saying A LOT (you know if you've seen mine).

    Default Mike Frazier

I second the recommendation for Mike Frazier (Fur and Feather Taxidermy) off Huffman. He has a sheep for me and one for a friend and they both turned out awesome. 6940.jpg
