    Default Cause we can...

Took a week off to go play in the country....was productive:

.375 will put a good decent exit hole...and the bear will still run:

We had a few opportunites to add a couple of moose to the ledger, but I didn't want to deal with two big ol' Swamp Donkeys. Not just the hassle, but that extra weight would create EASILY another trip out, and we were playing the "will it snow and we'll be hosed" game...

This was a vacation for me, as the busy work season had finally come to a close. I was just happy to be sleeping in a sleeping bag and not at home (home = work).

This was a unit 22 hunt out of Nome. Fair amount of snow the past weekend and before. Roads are closing, bears denning up, too much snow in places to use the 4 wheeler now I think. Some of unit 22 is open for Ox and the rest will open Jan 1. Registration hunts open to all Alaska Residents.
Interesting the change from up high and down low in the pics, Alaskan. Nice looking Ox and good eating too.

Yup, was the AO 10, with the 2 dog stove from fourdog.com Great set up! Did realize that the inner material of the AO isn't that tough...but that has more to do with how close I put my cot. Also...some of the Cabelas "bigger" cots...are too big. They fit...but take up too much space for them to really work.

It's my BLR .450. Sure is a nice gun, and really accurate (which is shocking if you know how I shoot).
