    Default official end to my 2010 duck season

    well boys i had surgery today to fix some nerve damage in my arm from a wound in got in afghanistan. i'll be one arming it for a few months so my season is done. I wanted to say a big thanks to the guys on here that helped me out this year. Mostly DH01 and AK duckman. you guys are awesome and those last few weekends at duck lake are memories i'll have forever. wont be here next year. i'll be back down in SC hunting salt and timber.

    Enjoyed it..take care and stay in touch. I will keep you updated on the motor. I am heading out tomorrow for one last go myself. we will see how thick the ice is....if it is too thick.. I will run to the salt. I will report upon return.

    Went out Sat...RS was great no ice to report. got to the lake...1/2 inch ice and really not bad. Expected a great redleg day. got to our hole and NADA...birds are gone....had one widgeon come in locke up like a jet..was great and early. Expected more...finally we located a hole in the lake with about 20 birds. Drove the boat over and grabbed a few off of that. Packed everything up and said goodbye till next season. Was a great season even though the birds were few.

    Spray painted some for the salt and will hit whittier soon.

    I'm down in SC for a visit while i recover. went fishin this morning and had a flock of bout 100 red legs fly over. season is still 20 days out but cool to see non the less
