Default Rabbit (Hare) activity - Anchorage to Fairbanks?

There's a ton of bird reports lately...which means my chances are pretty good this weekend, but would like to bring home a few hares as well.

Anyone have any good suggestions or sightings anywhere between Anchorage and Fairbanks?

It's just me, the camper, and the Argo...out for a three day escape :-)

I picked blueberries along the Denali highway (20 miles in from Cantwell) a couple of months ago. The rabbit droppings were thicker than the blueberries. Lots of places to camp out there too.

Are they turning white yet? Think I might take the boys out this weekend and see if we can't come up with a good, fresh Sunday dinner.

I drove from Fairbanks out to Tok yesterday, and back today. I only saw 2 spruce hens and 1 rabbit. The rabbit was half white. Good luck.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day,
Teach a man to fish and he'll also learn to drink, lie, and avoid the honey do list.
