    Default Spotting Scope or Binoculars

Hiyas, what would be better for Owl watching in the Chugach area.

    Scope - http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...1285/cat100751

    Binoculars - http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...5187/cat100735

I'm not looking to spend to much as this trip is already costing me a fortune hehe .
    Thanks

binoculars are always your first purchase...easier on the eye while scanning. spotting scope has too much magnification for scanning/not much "field of view"

i would suggest a good 10x42 binocular for bird watching.....even a 10x50 which would gather more light at dawn/dusk....which is when owls tend to be more visible....
