Your 1st post is asking for spots? Those spots are found by putting in footwork, not net scouting.

I know there's quite a bit of ice around, but is it definitely time to hang up the waders and go grouse hunting?

Jump on that broomstick and fly it south. Most northern states open for ducks around Oct 15th. Opps, misread boomstick for broomstick, oh well, season is pretty much over up there, might jump a couple ducks on open water on some rivers, but also a good way to get wet and maybe even lose a dog under the ice so becareful. Still sume hunting in Southcentral and Kenai and Homer If you can affored, fly to cordova or Kodiak, they stay open later and much less ice, and lot more duckies. Bud
