    Default Vendetta range finder

I was wondering what you all think of the vendetta bowmounted range finder. Don't think it is legal in AK because it mounts on the bow. But what I don't understand is how is it differant from a regular range finder? Just because it is mounted to the bow?

The way I read the regs, any electronic device mounted on a bow is not legal.

yes that is true. but is it not the same as a regular range finder? its just mounted to the bow. So is that why it is illegal? because it is mounted? I guess that it why it makes bowhunting more challenging.

Yep, no electronics mounted to the bow. I think you would be able to use it during rifle season as long as you are not in an archery only area.

OK, here's a question, the haul road 5 mile restriction isn't a bow only season, its only a restriction of weapons in that corridor. So does all the limits placed on bows in archery only hunts apply?

Yes, it is a bow only area and the archery rules apply. You must also have a bow cert. Same thing with the FMA and other weapon restricted zones. I personally don't understand why the haul road doesn't allow shotguns....
