weekend cabin rentals?
I am looking for some place fun to take my girlfriend now that the weather is getting colder. I am looking for a cool cabin rental that is either hike in or drive up that would preferably have a wood stove and good access to either hiking, lakes or rivers. I live in healy but anywhere from Fairbanks to Kenai would be alright. We'd most likely like to spend 2-3 nights there just exploring the area and having a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. Solitude is a bonus. If anyone has any tips or owns a place they'd care to rent I'd greatly appreciate some info.
Do a search for BLM cabins, Fairbanks. The BLM cabins are great fun and pretty cheap. But you have to worry about availability. They are very popular as well.
