# Thread: How many tines do you count?

1. ## How many tines do you count?

Have gotten different counts by several who've looked at it.

2. 1 brow tine on each side. in between the first 2 points is called a bay thus making it one browtine on each side. Am I right.

3. id say 5 on each side

4. 3x5 would be my guess

5. seconded the 3x5 nice bull

6. I agree 3x5

7. looks like you could argue it to be 5x6

8. 5x1

Can you get a F&G opinion on the matter and post it here?

9. I also say 3 X 5.

10. 3x5 Fish and Game videos and stuff specifically say that the tines within the bay (between the brow palm and main palm) dont count. That pair on the left doesnt count. 5 on the right though.

Maybe 3x1 then.

12. Looks like 3x5 brow tines. But I can see how it would be open to differing opinions <grin>

13. ## my guess

........is 3x1.

14. I would call it a 5x6, there is an obviously deeper valley behind each 5th on the left and 6th on the right. Definitely see it walks the line and how some would consider it a 3x5. No way is it a "1" on either side!

15. Four by six. I wouldn't call the nub on left a point

16. 3x5; though I can certainly see LuJon's argument for 5x6 as well. Definitely not a 1 'tiner.

17. I think we are all trying to apply typical logic to a non-typical rack, looks more than 50" shoot and enjoy it.

18. 5x6 ......as Lujon says.....the deeper bay on the left is the determining factor. Niced bull anyway.

19. I count it as a 5x6 as well. Perhaps one of you guys that said "1" could elaborate a little. I just don't see it.

20. Definitely only 3 on the left - due to the deep bay. According to a bunny cop that did a presentation at a hunter safety class 2 years ago, the right side is only 1 brow tine, again due to the deep bay.
It would certainly be interesting to have a state enforcement officer give a reading on it, F&G employees are just another guy & have no input on any interpertation of laws, other than their opinion(s).
